Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 1 (20oz) can apple pie filling
  • vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° F and grease a 7x11 or 9x13 baking dish. If your dish is a too large, that's OK! With this recipe, it's best to have a dish that allows the ingredients to rest in a single layer so that the cinnamon rolls aren't fully buried.
  • Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and toss them with the can of apple pie filling.
  • Evenly place the mixture into your greased dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and spread the frosting that comes with the cinnamon rolls over top.
  • Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!

Notes

  • You can also make this yummy dessert with peach or cherry pie filling.
  • Want to take it up a notch? Serve with toasted pecans for added crunch and flavor.
  • This sweet treat is a great addition to a Christmas morning breakfast, especially if you have family in town. Serve with eggs and bacon!
